Welcome to FreeRent ATL ("FreeRent ATL," "we," "our," or "us")! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the FreeRent ATL website and rental-assistance application platform (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service.
1. What This Is
FreeRent ATL operates an online intake form that lets you apply to be screened for eligibility for a rental-assistance grant program in Atlanta, GA. There is no account to create or log into: you fill out the form once per application. These Terms cover that form and this website, not a broader software product.
2. No Guarantee of Assistance
Submitting this form is a request to be screened, not an award of assistance. Your answers are checked against fixed, published eligibility rules, and a staff member reviews every submission before any decision is made. Meeting the published rules does not guarantee funding is available or that your application will be approved.
3. Accuracy of Your Application
You agree to answer every question truthfully and to the best of your knowledge. Providing false or misleading information, about your household, income, housing situation, or hardship, can result in your application being denied or, if discovered after an award, in that award being revoked.
4. Applying on Someone Else's Behalf
If you are a caseworker or partner organization submitting this form for someone else, you confirm that the applicant has authorized you to submit their information and that everything entered is accurate to your knowledge.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to submit this form using automated tools or scripts, not to attempt to submit an unreasonably large number of applications, and not to attempt to access another applicant's submission or interfere with the form's normal operation.
6. Your Data
What we retain and for how long, and whether we can contact you about your application, are governed by the data-retention and communication-consent choices you make on the intake form itself, not by this page. Checking those boxes there is what gives your specific consent; this section is only a pointer to them.
7. No Cost to Apply
Submitting an eligibility application through FreeRent ATL is free. We will never ask you to pay a fee, deposit, or any other charge to apply, to be screened, or to receive a decision.
8. Removing a Submission
We may decline to process, or may remove from consideration, a submission that violates these Terms, for example one containing knowingly false information or submitted through automated means.
9. Limitation of Liability
FreeRent ATL and its staff and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this form or from a decision made about your application, to the fullest extent the law allows.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved in the courts located in Georgia.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect once posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date above; there is no separate notice, since there is no account to notify.
